Enterprise Architectures are predominantly constructed using either Structured Analysis and Design Technique (SADT) or Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA&D). While each technique has its own strengths and weaknesses, system and enterprise architects typically prefer to use only one of these analysis techniques, thereby losing the potential benefits of the other. This paper explores the benefits, challenges, and methodology of a hybrid approach. An overview of SADT and OOA&D is presented to provide context to present a hybrid approach for developing an Enterprise Architecture that capitalizes on the strengths of both.
