Robert James Woolsey, Jr. has accepted the offer to be an SEDC 2016 keynote speaker. Woolsey is a the former Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). He currently servers as the Chancellor for the Institute of World Politics.
During his career Woolsey has served as Advisor on U.S. Delegation on the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks, General Counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Armed Services, Under Secretary of the Navy, Delegate at Large to the U.S.-Soviet Strategic Arms Reduction Talks (START) and Nuclear and Space Arms Talks (NST), and Ambassador to the Negotiation on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE).
He is a national security and energy specialist and regularly participates in national debates about foreign policy, energy policy, and national security.
